The Marco’s Law Viral Protest designed to pressure Bahamian government officials into releasing a Sex Offenders Registry & MARCO Alert system for Missing Children is gaining traction as the launch date approaches. Already Facebook and Twitter are buzzing with the hashtags #justiceforMarco, #MarcosLaw & #protectourchildren as users in both social media spaces share the event with friends and family members.
Solidarity242 founded a mere six weeks ago by Kishlane Knowles and Lisa Davis, is a group geared toward empowering and educating Bahamians. With the motto People and Country first, the non-profit advocates for transparency and accountability within government. Solidarity242 is hoping every Bahamian living both at home and abroad will participate in the online protest.
